Breton Multigrain Cracker!

I recall learning about trans-fats in my nutrition class about two years ago. Sure it was a lecuture hall seated with about 200 lethargic college students hung over from the weekend, but i was one of the few that paid attention especially about this lecture. Why? cause i heard all this bashing of trans-fat but didnt see the difference between saturated fat (which is pretty unhealthy too) and trans. But i remember my professor saying, you know that special, flaky, buttery goodness you find in most crackers (Ritz came to mind....) well sorry, but trans fat makes it that so darn good. Well that sucks, anyhow, i digress....why this talk about crackers and trans-fat? well, because Breton's Multigrain crackers lack it. three pretty big round crackers are their serving size with 80 calories, 4 g fat (no trans fat), 1 g fiber, and 2 g sugars. If your vegan, watch out these do contain dairy. Now i do consider myself to be a cracker devotee, my favorite is triscuit and i usually dont like the rest that much to eat them on a regular basis. that being said, i didnt go head over heels for these. But, the buttery flaky goodness usually found in crackers thanks to transfat, well these crackers had it, sans trans fat of course. So good job to them for mimicing the unhealthy but yumminess qualities of the conventional cracker. I am also not thrilled nutritionally simply because there are higher fiber crackers out there. But now that i think about it, the taste of these reminded my of the goldfish snacks, although maybe a little less cheesy. Anyhow, if you miss that flakyness, these capture it perfectly, but if your like me and dont crave crackers all that much, well, you dont need to bend over backwards to get these.
