I dont like to ban foods, even unhealthy ones. The ONE exception is probably sodas because they have absolutly no nutrition. I also stopped drinking those mocha-frappa-carmel-fudge-espresso-chino-whatevers too (because guess what, some have even more sugar, fat, and calories than a milkshake!
I think by now both Hungry Waif and I have ground it into your heads that Carb a Whey is number 1 in our hearts. We both literally eat it once a day. It’s perfect for the summer when the heat is getting to us, and you’d probably laugh at us in the winter when we’re bundled up in blankets with a big bowl of it. But I know some people have really gotten into the new plain tart craze. It’s all over, at least in Cali. You’ll find it at a lot of those ____berry places that I see popping up on pretty much every street corner. Well, the makers of Carb A Whey, the trendsetters th
Parents always try to get their kids to eat healthy stuff without the kids being overly picky or turning their nose. They put spongebob on carrot bags, they have that whole subway "fun fit meals" with apples and raisins, and even Amy's makes kid friendly frozen meals. Today, i am taking an attempt at another invention, fizzy yogurt tubes. I guess its sort of like carbonated yogurt in tube?
I ve been on a hunt lately of calcium. I hate milk, alway have, and cheese for that matter, but i dont mind smoothies or yogurt. So i thought i might enjoy yoplait's light smoothies. Nutrtionally, its what i look for, rich in calcium, 90 calories per bottle, non-fat, and 3 g of fiber. I am still recovering from danactive, so i was a little hestiant before trying this. It was not bad at all, but it just tasted like watered down yogurt, and i rather just eat the yogurt. It was strawberry flavored, but i couldnt find a signifcant strawberry in there! maybe i prefer "chunkier" smoothies i guess. Anyhow, it was portable and i give them props for that because its a good pre-workout drink (thats what it served me in my case). Overall though, i'd say skip this, go for the light'n fit smoothies or better yet, make your own.

I am always searching for new forms of calcium because its so imporatant, especially since i am a woman. But this new DanActive also boasts boosting my immune system since it contians L. casei Immunitas which apparently is a probiotic that helps support your immuse system. they come in these cute and portable bottles with 90 calories each with 1.5 grams of fat, 3 grams of protien, and 17 grams of sugar. They come in an assortment of flavors, i tried cranberry raspberry. Now i normally like smoothies and milkshakes, but this dairy drink is nothing like that. Its more like skim milk, only it tastes AWFUL. The cranberry taste was just not right here. Cranberries and dairy i guess shouldnt mix. I am also disappointed about the sugar in this since its almost first on the ingredient list! I like the light n fit smoothies and i bet they also have probiotics since its yogurt based. what for sure is that these may boost you immunity, but send your taste buds will sadly not be immune to this horrible taste.

In the U.S., i rarely subject myself to weight watchers food for a number of reasons. One, i hate the big red infamous "weight watchers" box is a little emabarasssing. It like the common knowledge that if one buys a red car, they are twice as likely to get noticed by a cop. Red is simply very ey catching and i dont want the world to think of me as a "weight watcher". Two, the food usually isnt fanatastic and quite high in calories compared to other brands. But the UK weight watchers is different! first of all, all their items are suttle as they are simply packaged in a pristine white containermaking you feel slimer just looking at it. Second, they are actually LOWER in calories than the competeing brands. So i was looking for my daily dairy serving while in good ol' London when i walked into a Sainsbury Local and picked up weight watchers yogurts in Toffee in Vanilla flavors. I was mainly excited about the Toffee flavor because ive never seen it in the States. Nutritionally, these yogurts are impressive: 50-48 calories per pot, no fat (well, 0.1 to be exact, but in the states they arent so exact, and item has to have more tha .5 grams of fat to be called fat free..), only about 6 carbs, and only 1/2 a point(if your doing weight watchers, that is). the taste.... well the vanilla isn't anything special, and to be honest, i prefer the light'nfit version wer have in states, but the toffee is nice. Not OUT OF THIS WORLD but then again, no yogurt is really that GREAT. it has a nice toffee-ish undertone which is different for a yogurt flavor but a nice change from what i am used to. It good plain, but i actually had it with some all bran fibre plus (as they call it in Britain) and it was a great healthy dairy and fiber dose to get you throught the day! (sorry this is so long, but the differnent foods and extra free time got me to really analyze every product i tried, more reviews to come!)

The wedding may have been "fat" but you wont be by eating this authenitic Greek fat free yogurt. This handy yogurt pack has a great nutritionals to boast with only 80 calories per pack, 6 grams of carbs, and 9 grams of protein! BUT, it is PLAIN yogurt, so dont expect a flavorful explosion. My suggestion is flavoring it up with some splenda and cinnamon, fresh fruit, a spoonful of sugar-free jam, some sugar-free maple syrup or even with flavored syrups or extracts (like maybe vanilla or almond extract). It doesn't exactly taste like traditional yogurt you may be used to because Greek yogurt tends to be made differently. I Find it actually to be a little creamier but it is yummy. Trader Joe's carries it, as do other various gourmet markets, but dont hesitate to check your local major grocery stores. This yogurt is healthy and tasty! Hoopa! (Id write some witty saying in greek to go with the theme here but i dont have greek letterings on my key board :)
