Glennys Chocolate Chip Brownie!

I’m a chick, and as a chick I must have chocolate.  Though I don’t really like chocolate all by its lonesome I will pretty much inhale anything that has it in its ingredients list.  Unfortunately, a lot of the time, with chocolate-laced foods comes a colossal amount of calories and fat.  Because I’m a whore for new products I was all yippy ki yay when Glennys, the makers of soy crisps, came out with brownies.  They’ve now been out for a little while and they are no longer just in specialty stores, I found mine at 7-11.  Glennys has jumped on the 100 calorie bandwagon with their 100 calorie brownies.  Along with 4g of fat and a very impressive 7g of fiber and 4g of protein.  It’s also all natural, which means it’s actually made with cocoa and real chocolate chips.  I got the chocolate chip version.  It’s a very nice sized brownie for the calories, 41g to be exact.  The taste, not bad.  It wasn’t really, really sweet like other brownies and you could actually taste the cocoa. There was just a little something off about it that I can’t put my finger on.  Looking at the ingredients list it may be the lemon juice. It was also dense and moist.  It didn’t have the texture of a fresh-out-the-oven brownie, but come on; these things are packaged and waiting.  They definitely didn’t have the cardboard texture that I’ve gotten from other “healthy” cakes and cookies.   The chocolate chips added a little variation in texture and some extra chocolate flavor.  I really like these to help curb a need for a crazy, calorie dense brownie (which you can find in a lot of restaurants).  I also tried warming it up and topping it with Carb a Whey.   Wow.  So in my time of need, Glennys may be on my list to help me out with my chocolate addiction.

I have tried

these too but I tried the blondie one. It's a white with choc chips. tasty. not filling at all but it helps with the sweet craving! I thought of ordering some online. Anything with protein and fiber I am big fan of. There's a Pnut butter too. AT 7-11 now? Wow.

Yeah, I wasn't looking for it to be filling. I could always eat an apple with it to add more bulk and more fiber. But it really is a lot more than those 2 bite brownies you see in the grocery store, and a lot less calories.

Thse do taste good and are

Thse do taste good and are great for chocoholics like me! BUT: Make sure you guys weigh these. The ones I bought tended to weigh much more than the package said and ended up containing 130-140 calories instead of 100. I know that's not a HUGE difference but it sucks that they mislead you into thinking this nice big brownie is only 100 calories when in reality it's bigger than it should be. Either make the stupid thing the correct serving size or suck it up and say it has over 100 calories. Ugh! That's what I get for being paranoid and weighing my food. The same is true for most granola or snack bars. Those things ALWAYS weigh more than the package says, meaning the nutritionals are totally off! Okay, I'm done here.

yea, i hate when that

I really liked the Peanut Butter Chip kind.
And I want to try the Blueberry and Chocolate Chip blondies they have.
I pop them in the microwave for 8-15 seconds, and walla! Nice and steamy.
