Kashi 7 Grain Puffed Cereal!

hungry waif's picture

Its amazing how big Kashi has come. I remember when they first started making cereals and such when i was about 14. They only had a few cereals to their name then, but now, they make everything from granola bars, hot cereals, and even frozen entrees! Well i am going to review one of their first products which probably among their simplest products but according to me, probably one of their best nutrtionally and taste wise! Their puffed cereal is not airy like puffed rice or puffed wheat, and is definetly more filling. It has a denser texture than most puffed cereals and an interesting but yummy flavor. Its only 70 calories per cup with 1 gram of fiber, 0.5 grams of fat, and 0 grams of sugar (woo hoo). If your craving a sweeter cereal, i suggest blending in some splenda packets and a sprikling of cinnamon. Another cool feature to this cereal is that it doesn't deflate in milk! even corn flakes get soggy quickly, but these puffs hold up their crunch nicely when submerged in milk (or soy milk). I hope all these new kashi products won't inflate the ego of this seemingly down to earth company, cause their basic stuff, like their puffed cereal, is awesome all on its own!

Hey "anonymous" posters... if you have such a problem with this blog why bother posting anything in the comments section? Also, why do you have to post anonymously? Is it because you are aware that your comments are uncalled for? If you dont like this blog, move on. There are a million others out there.

Anonymous posters, weren't you ever taught if you can't say something nice, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL?If you don't like what Hungry Waif posts, don't read it. It's not rocket science.

I LOVE THIS BLOG!Anonymous #1, maybe you should expand your horizons. You know, like write to Pepsi and ask them why they copied Coke. Ask Chevy why they copied Ford. Ask Silk Soy Milk why they went and tried to make a cheap copy of cow milk.Please. People come to this blog if they like it. If you don't like it, don't come. That simple.Go back to Hungry Girl.

Seriously, why be rude? She enjoys nutrition, has studied up on it quite a bit and has some helpful knowledge to share. Therefore, she's sharing it. To be NICE and HELP people. Is she hurting anyone? No. Only helping people. Why the heck would anyone criticize someone for that? That's just sad. Seriously, get a life.
