La Tortilla Factory's Low Carb Tortillas!
October 22nd, 2006 by hungry waif

One of my favorite daily staples (along with veggies and fruit) are these tortillas! Before i get in to the taste, these are nutrtional power house. Low in fat (2 grams for the regular size), low in calories (50), and the best part, super high in fiber (a whopping 8 grams!). When i fisrt discovered them, they only had one flavor, the regular whole wheat. That flavor is good, wholesome tasting, and although not EXACTLY like an ordinary tortilla, i find the texture to actually be better than most flour tortilla's i've tried. But, a few years ago the company expanded and now make them in a larger burrito size (only 80 cals for this HUGE tortilla) and cme out with awesome new flavors, garlic 'n herb and green onion. Both are great, i cant even chose a favorite. The really great thing too is that there is endless ways to use them. I usually have about two wraps a day with them, but i've had success at making awesome pizzas, chips, enchilladas, etc....Check out their websites for more recipies and to order if no stores around your area carry them.http://www.latortillafactory.com/index.aspx
these look good. better than those sprout ones, you know what i'm taking about?
I know it's not as
"wholesome" but I get the flour kind that they make. 90 cals/13G fiber and 8G Protein. Ummm. I like white bread kind of stuff. I am always looking for low cal ideas to make things with burritos if anyone has suggestions
My new favorite isn't
My new favorite isn't totally a burrito, more of a wrap. I put sundried tomato hummus on a tortilla, grill up a boca burger and cut it into strips then top with lettuce, tomato and cucumber.
I've wanted to try these for
I've wanted to try these for so long but no stores near me carry them. And I don't want to order them in bulk like you have to... Oh well. I'll keep looking!
