Health and fitness magazines sometimes really baffle me. As i was skiming through a number of them i realized that they often contradict each other. Women's Health has a "Eat this" "Not That" segment where they compare a food with their nutritionally sound counterpart. but the weird thing is, Self magzine boasts the counterpart to be part of their "SELF diet" plan. For instance, Women's Health was saying forgo popcorn and get an ounce of baked chips, while Self magazine gave 2 cups of popcorn as part of thier "snack" ideas. Whatevs, ill let my taste buds and labels guide me. Anyhow, i guess for popcorn/chippy things, these Mr. Krispers are certainly a healthier alternative. 37 chips (its A LOT and totally reasonable unlike some other serving sizes...), is 120 calories, 3 g fat, 3 g sugars, 1 g fiber, and 2 g protein. The flavor was similar to pirates booty, while the crackers were similar to the crunchmast rice crackers. Now this is a snack, mind you and mainly just carbs, so i wouldnt have this as a meal, but its a great addition to soups, tuna salad, egg salad, or whatever you wish to have along with them. My dad's girlfriend's intern (who's my age!) shared some with me and had it with a babybel light cheese round (i hate cheese but i am assuming if you like cheese, this is a good combo). So boo-ya Womens Health and SELF, go for Mr. Krispers!
