Nutritious Creations Chocolate Chip Cookie!

The other day I went to Penguins to get my weekly rations of Carb a Whey.  After getting out of my car I realized I was in the mood from some kind of carby sweet. I then broke the cardinal rule of yogurt shop dedication and walked across the street to Big Chill.  They have a good assortment of lower calorie sweets and other goodies.  And I think it was okay since I didn’t get any yogurt.  I decided to pick up the chocolate chip cookie by Nutritious Creations.  A 2oz cookie for 150 calories, 3g of fat, 4g of fiber and 3g of protein.  The texture is a little fluffy and doesn’t have any crunch.  Its also a little on the drier side, almost crumbly.  The taste is slightly off, seeming to have almost a mocha-esqe taste.  The chocolate chips were scattered throughout the cookie but I think because they were dairy free, they didn’t taste as creamy as regular chocolate chips.  I tried warming the cookie up to give it that just baked taste and it actually helped a lot.  The cookie became softer and the chips melted a little.  It’s sweetened with fruit juices, which tasted a little weird at first but then, as I ate more I started to enjoy it.  This is a pretty big cookie and if you’re looking to get a lot of cookie for not a lot of calories or fat, this is the way to go.  It’s not disgusting, but I just don’t think I’ll be going back there to get another.  It’s also good because it’s dairy free, parve and has no preservatives.  You can find them at snacksforlife.com and order them online.  If you do get this I’d recommend warming it up, as this seemed to save the cookie.  If its quality, not quantity your looking for, definitely stick to a nice bakery cookie, just don’t get it super sized.
