Quaker Crunchy Granola Bars!

hungry waif's picture

Sorry, but i think i am a seriously a bit hung up on bars this week. We are all familar with Quaker's infamous Chewy granola bars, but these i think are new. These bars are crunchy, more true to their "granola" heritage. These are a lot like Nature Valley's Crunchy granola bars, as in, you get two crunchy bars per single serving pack. They come in a few flavors too, but i tried the simple, Oats and Honey flavor. Nutritionally, these aint bad, but ive seen better, higher fiber bars out there: 130 calories, 4 grams of fat, 1 gram of fiber, 8 grams of sugar, and 2 grams of protien. If you are familar with the Nature Valley bars, these are a little different. Less crumbly and more "chunky", more like real granola that we are used to seeing in boxes, only molded into a bar, of course. It actually a little too sweet for my taste, and left me mouth slightly dry. Too be honest, nothing special or exciting. I prefer the chewy kinds because they come in funky, chocolatey flavors, but these arent half bad.

so do u have a fav bar?

Actually, yes, although to be honest, i dont munch on bars on a regular basis. The best ever is Luna Bar's Lemon Zest. Tasty and way more satisfying than a milky way or snickers. Chewy bars in cookies n' cream are also wonderful, but arent as satitisfying.

if you like Luna bars, you should try the new Luna tea cakes. they're excellent.
