South Beach "Living" roasted peanut bars!

Diets are so uncool that South Beach Diet divorced it's "diet" last name and ran off with his "living" mistress. ok, but to be honest South Beach, it was the south beach that was a bit of a turn off as well....Anyhow, sundays are fun because at my local safeway, they hand out promotional samples! so i didn't have to buy these living bars or whatever. I tried 1/4 of a roasted peanut bar and i could tell they were fairly decent in size originally. Each 35g bar is 150 calories, 7g fat (2 saturated), 18 g carbs, 3g fiber, 7g sugars, and 6g protein. I like the "higher than your average granola bar" protien count, but i must say looking at the ingredients, this isn't exactly a picture of health. Sure i like that it starts off with "roasted peanuts, whole grain oats, soy protein, but then begins to go into HFCS, sugar, invert cane syrup, palm kern oil (not a very good fat mind you.). theres at least 6 different forms of sugar on the list and hydrogentated oils. It tasted like peanuts, true to its name, but i found it very dry, you definely need some milk or water with this. It was chewy but still dried out my mouth which kind of confused me. Anyhow, not too impressed. grade: C+, nice flavor but disappointing ingredients and dry texture, also a bit boring, maybe some dried fruits or chocolate would have been nice. South beach should stick to plastic surgery and recount votes, not granola bars!

Ugh, stupid companies and
Ugh, stupid companies and their desire to be cheap: shop using HFCS!!!!
funny line....
I loved this line: "Diets are so uncool that South Beach Diet divorced its "diet" last name and ran off with his "living" mistress." FUNNY!
yep, and weight watchers is
yep, and weight watchers is following suit! ironic, i was at the gym the other day and saw on the screens the commericial, "stop dieting, start "living" !" ok, so now when someone offers you funnel cake we need to say, "sorry, i am living..."

If a company puts the word
If a company puts the word diet on it's product I guarantee you there target audience isn't men. I'm not saying men don't use the products I'm just saying that's how businesses look at it .
