Thomas' 100 Calorie English Muffins!

when i think of english muffins, for some reason an egg McMuffin comes to mind. you know, those little sandwiches filled with eggs and cheese, about the size of your palm that are chock full of calories and fat. Yea, not pretty and to tell you the truth, i have never attempted to fork over one of those things (proabably becasue a. i am never awake in time for breakfast at MickyD's, b. i rarely punish myself by ingesting their food, and c. i am not a big fan of cheese). But IF you wanted to recreat one of those McMuffins, i'd say thomas' english muffins are a great base. They litterally taste no different than the ordinary english muffins, and they are a mere 100 caloires each with an impressive 7 grams of protein! I am sure they'd also be delish with sugar free jam or with some smoked salmon and red onion. They are fairly cheap anyway but i actually bought these at the Orowheat bakery outlet (i guess orowheat owns thomas'?) for a $1.69! but these muffins are great so i really wouldnt mind shelling a few extra bucks if you dont have an outlet nearby. just steet clear of the mickyD's kind...

I like the muffins too! Especially when smothered in butter! Yum!Oh, that's the "I can't belive It's Not Butter!" spray I am reffering to. lolThe only thing I have to complain about is how thin the muffins are. They tend to kind of fall apart at times. But I would totally reccomend them. However, it is funny how regular muffins are only a few cals more...but the extra protien of the light muffins give an extra boost though.
I can't find these anywhere... :( Only the regular 130/140 cal ones.
Hmm, english muffins...I like making mini pizzas with them. I wish I could find the 100 calorie ones. I didn't see them at Kroger, so I'll check out Trader Joe's next time I go.
I've never seen the 100 calorie Thomas muffins, but I have to say I was sorely disappointed by the whole wheat Thomas muffins. Soggy and chewy, but in a weird way. I far prefer the Orwheat whole wheat muffins or the Target store brand Orwheat knockoffs.
I have been searching for high fiber products lately and found these english muffins in the process. THey are only 100 calories and have a lot of fiber too. I made my own egg mcmuffin sandwich with the english muffin, one egg, a slice of cheese and three slices of turkey lunchmeat....yummmm! And I figured it to be less than 300 calories. I love the english muffins but can only find them at Albertson's grocery store.
these english muffins, atleast to me, taste just like the original ones! I love that they have some fiber in them and of course it's great to have only 100 calories. They are really yummy with 1 tbsp. of low-fat cream cheese which only adds up to about 135 calories- the same amount in one regular muffin!

These english muffins are the best diet-friendly I've had so far. I like to have them for lunch....nuke a Boca cheeseburger and dress with veggies and such. Add some soy crisps or reduced fat chips on the side and not bad at all!
