Walden Farms Apple Butter!

hungry waif's picture

Apple butter is a strange concept. I've only tasted it once when i was in summer camp when i was twelve. its like apple sauce, yet its not does not contian butter (or some other fat like almond butter, peanut butter, etc). yet most apple butters are fairly high in sugar. Walden once again claims to have a calorie free solution to a normally very caloric item. Yes, they do have many catastrophies (stay far far away from their ketchup!) but this is actually pretty darn good. Its more like apple jelly but that suits me! its great on some light wheat bread, or even in your oatmeal (i mix it in my wheat bran). I am sure it would also be great on waffles or pancakes (maybe those nutri-grain perhaps since i still have some left over?).

I just bought this a few weeks ago. I thought it wasn't bad, either. It is just a little hard to spread on some things.

where can you buy walden farms products?

I tried the apple butter. It made me sick to my stomach. I think nearly all Walden Farms stuff is just plain bad - except the pancake syrup (heated). Do they test their own products?
