Yves Veggie Canadian Bacon
April 17th, 2007 by hungry waif
Generally, i hate regular bacon but am actually really fond of canadian bacon although i admit i rarely actually go out and purchase it. I was curious, for me as well as for my vegitarian/vegan friends about veggie canadian bacon. so i "splurged" (although its cheaper than regular candian bacon) on Yves. O and how i do regret it. Nutrtionally, i guess it does good as a veggie-friendly substitute because its made of mostly protein and 80 calorie per serving. But it tasted like salted rubber! maybe salted rubber tastes better?! i dont know, i havent tried salted rubber. Usually, veggie products actually dont taste like the "real" meat counter part but they are usually good tasting at least. This just was so sad, not to mention it looked gross too, think off-colored day old mystery meat.

Try Morningstar Farms sausage patties. They are 80 calories of deliciousness.
