I know, i just posted a DYI bar, but i thought i might try a packaged one since it was all that was left at Traders today (dude, never go on friday nights, they were out of everything but bars!). Clif (the company that also makes luna bars) made a whole like called "Z Bars" just for "Kids in Motion". Aren't all kids moving? i mean granted many these days plant themselves in front of some sort of screen, but at least when i was little, most of my friends anyhow were always playing, doing something, moving. This bar is organic and 130 calories, 4 g fat, 3 g fiber, 11 g sugar, and 3 g protien. Its pretty good nutritionally compared to the quaker chewy chocolate chip bars because they have a little more fiber and protien and no HFCS. I liked that the first ingredient listed was chocolate, I love chocolate! The chocolate was VERY prominent in this bar, it was chewy, not overly sweet, and again chocolaty, i cant stress that enough. I like that the chocolate was also drizzled beautifully across the top like they do for Luna bars. However, i must say although I adore chocolate, this chocolate wasn't the best I've had, and it tasted also very oat-y maybe too much so. Its pretty good for me, although again the chocolate isnt great tasting and not sweet like what most kids are used to, so i am not sure if kids would actually like this. Thats ok, kids have jackrabbit metabolisms anyhow so this this bar's taste turns them off, they can surly have a real chocolate chip oatmeal cookie (i am assuming this is what this bar is most like) instead. What sucks is that i still need to go shopping tomorrow since traders was collecting dust mites on empty shelves.
